Japan Tamaryokucha – Organic
TeaCha's Notes:
This was, hands down, the unanimous winner when I debuted this in my Gong Fu tasting. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the different taste characteristics it had with each infusion. I encourage you to take time out to enjoy this tea.
$3.00 – $133.99
An organic Japanese green tea with an aroma of fruit and grass followed with a slight hint of lime. The flavor is nutty with spinach-like notes providing a vivid taste experience. This tea is harvested and produced in small amounts from the Prefecture Miyazaki on the Kyushu Island. The name of the tea also expresses it’s quality translating to: Tama = gemstone/jewel, Ryoku = green, Cha = tea. This is a nice break from the more common but still fabulous straight leafed Japanese sencha green tea. It retains it’s original appearance with its mid-green, somewhat rougher, curled leaf.
