Island Pear
TeaCha's Notes:
A beautiful green and white tea blend of Sencha, Long Jing and Pai Mu Tan meet lucious pear and tart pineapple for this cuppa. Juicy pear dominates when served hot and the pineapple shines when iced.
$2.00 – $66.99
Yellow rosebuds, pineapple flakes and mango cubes enhance the delicate yet significant freshness of this aromatic variety. The tea leaves dominate the overall taste with their typically delicate, slightly bitter notes. A touch of juicy pear and creamy sweet exotic flavors envelop the characteristic flavor of green tea.
Recommendation:
If serving this tea iced, consider using an extra 1 1/2 teaspoon of tea for every 6 – 8 ounces of water to provide more flavor. Melting ice will dilute the blend. You can also “cold steep” to maximize the flavor by filling a pitcher with the appropriate tepid water. Add the suggested amount of tea leaves either in a tea bag or an infuser and put the pitcher into the refrigerator for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Taste the tea and if it’s to your liking, remove the tea leaves and serve.

This has become one of my favorite teas to have as an iced tea. It has just the right amount of sweetness and flavor with a delicate but lingering overtones. Lovely hints of pear and a really tasty finish. Just the right amount of caffeine for a glass of cold iced tea in the afternoon. Just love it!!!
