Description:
A rich exquisite jasmine scented green tea from Fujian, China. This fine cuppa has a smooth full-bodied mouth feel with delicate sweet flavor rounding out with a slightly dry finish. Grading for jasmine teas from Fujian have been in place for decades. This particular top graded one is extra special containing more silvery tips and single buds with higher quality tea and leaf plucking process. It also goes through more scenting rounds to absorb more of the jasmine fragrance from natural jasmine blossoms. No flavorings are added. The green tea is prepared in spring and then dried to stop oxidization. The tea is then sent to the jasmine gardens to wait for the jasmine harvest to begin from May through September, for an intensive scenting process. Only buds that are ready to bloom are picked and harvested in the late morning. The buds are added to the green tea leaves in the afternoon when the buds begin to open. After several rounds of mixing and resting, the flowers are removed, and the process is started again and repeated multiple times. This tea will have very few to no flowers left as it goes through an extra process to remove the jasmine blossoms which is a sign of a top quality jasmine tea. Cultivar is XiaoFuding
