Golden Peony Black
TeaCha's Notes:
To experience all the characteristics of this tea I recommend serving this GongFu style in a Gaiwan. In contrast, if anyone is new to loose leaf tea, this tea will definitely turn you into a tea addict and you can use in glass or porcelain cup.

This black tea is golden and sparkling like a dance of fairies. Hints of nuttiness with gardenia and other sweet-smelling blossoms brings on a brilliant finale. Though golden amber in color, the flavor is rich and complex coating the entire mouth with notes of sweet floral nectar. This is a rare find for a black tea made from the cultivar “Jin Mudan”, typically known for being a white tea. Not to be confused by “golden” in the name of the tea that usually refers to golden tips, the tea specialist saw something rare in this harvest and developed an incredible black tea. The cultivar, Jin Mudan, originally from Fujian, transplanted to northwestern Hunan at an elevation between 400-600m creating unique characteristics and a small yield.
