Pamper your taste buds with Formosa Honey Black tea. Floral notes, a hint of honey and some malty aromas will definitely have you stop in your tracks to enjoy this incredibly rich and smooth cuppa. The leaves are long and dark brown with some copper-colored tips, slightly curled.

Tea Trivia:

The Hualien district located at the eastern coast of Taiwan is home of this speciality: Honey Black. Mainly produced during the summer months. The young leaves are nibbled at by small grasshoppers making the leaves stop their growth and curl. At the same time the grasshoppers initiate a reaction with the plant juices, yielding a slightly honey-like flavor. A result, which is responsible for the name as well as the wonderful taste.

This is one of my go to black teas. It’s very smooth and has hints of honey. I enjoy it with honey and milk on mornings when I don’t feel like coffee.
