Tea Trivia:
The Hualien district located at the eastern coast of Taiwan is home of this specialty: Honey Black. Mainly produced during the summer months. The young leaves are nibbled at by small grasshoppers making the leaves stop their growth and curl. At the same time the grasshoppers initiate a reaction with the plant juices, yielding a slightly honey-like flavor. A result, which is responsible for the name as well as the wonderful taste.

This is one of my go to black teas. It’s very smooth and has hints of honey. I enjoy it with honey and milk on mornings when I don’t feel like coffee.
