Bamboo Matcha Whisk

No matter what type of matcha you like, this whisk produces the nicest froth. This is a must have item for making matcha. If you're like me, you've tried whisking your matcha with a regular kitchen whisk, and why not, it should mix it. No, as it has a different shape and does not mix it very well. To get the best froth, after the water is heated, pour in about 1/4 of the water into the matcha. Take the whisk and lightly whisk the matcha and water in circles to moisten the powder. When it is wet, increase the whisking. Whisk in the shape of an "m". The quicker you go the frothier it gets. Then add the remaining water and continue using the "m" shape whisk motion. You don't need to press hard on the whisks bamboo prongs, they will do the work for you. At this point you are ready to a perfect matcha. Description

An essential tea ware tool used for whisking matcha. This whisk (chasen) is made from a single piece of bamboo. The tulip shape helps to add oxygen to the tea as its whisked. This whisk will help whip your matcha into a frothy consistency.

It is recommended to clean your whisk after each preparation. Soap is not recommended and do not soak in water. Simply run the whisk under hot water for a few seconds, making sure all the matcha is removed. Turn the whisk over so the prongs are facing down and shake the extra water off.  Gently pat dry the whisk with paper towels. Turn over the whisk with the prongs facing up and let air dry. Do not store the whisk in the plastic container it arrived in.

Don’t forget, clean the whisk after each use.
