Strawberry Fields

Follow me to Strawberry Fields where the secret garden whisks you away to daydream of things where nothing is real. This black and green tea blend has two personalities that sway you from reality. It’s dramatically different served iced vs hot. Iced, the aroma teases you with strawberry then fills with fruity papaya. Surprisingly, when iced, the grassiness of the green tea diminishes allowing the flavor of the black tea to shine. Served hot, the green tea takes the lead with the hint of something extra, perhaps hay on a hot summer day.

Recommendation:

If serving this iced, consider using an extra 1 1/2 teaspoon of tea for every 6 – 8 ounces of water to provide more flavor. Melting ice will dilute the blend.

To maximize the flavor, consider cold steeping. To cold steep, put the appropriate amount of tea and water into a pitcher and let steep in the refrigerator for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove the tea leaves and voila, your tea is cold and ready to drink.
